What happens to your file. Four steps, and you can check each one.

Every chapter, footnote and caption is read before translation starts, so context carries through to the last page.

People, places and invented words go into one glossary. You decide once what to keep, translate or rename.

Every chapter follows your rules: formal or informal address, regional variant and idioms.

Review notes mark passages worth a second look. Download EPUB, Word, PDF or a bilingual edition.

Chapter 1

Der Morgen, an dem die Fähren ausblieben

On the morning the ferries stopped, Mara Ellison walked the length of the Lantern Quay and counted the boats that would not leave. Eleven. Nan had always said the harbour kept its own ledger.

Am Morgen, als die Fähren ausblieben, ging Mara Ellison den Laternenkai entlang und zählte die Boote, die nicht ablegen würden. Elf. Oma hatte immer gesagt, der Hafen führe sein eigenes Kassenbuch.

Chapter 24

Die erste Fähre

The first ferry came back on a Tuesday. Mara Ellison stood at the end of the Lantern Quay with Nan beside her, and the Tidewardens were nowhere to be seen.

Die erste Fähre kam an einem Dienstag zurück. Mara Ellison stand vorn am Laternenkai, Oma neben sich, und die Gezeitenwächter waren nirgends zu sehen.

Questions. Short answers before you upload.

What can I try for free?

The first chapter of a book, the first 3 pages of a document or scan, or the first 5 minutes of subtitles. You don’t need an account, and you can rerun the preview up to 3 times.

How is the price calculated?

By the words you choose to translate. Read costs $0.25 per 1,000 words with a $3.00 minimum, Publish costs $0.60 with a $9.00 minimum. A 90,000-word novel in Publish costs $54.00. You see the exact price after upload, before you pay.

What is the difference between Read and Publish?

Read gives you a faithful translation to read yourself. Publish adds an editable glossary, style rules, review notes, free chapter reruns and store-ready files, for books other people will read.

Will my file look the same?

Yes. Chapters, headings, footnotes, images, tables and styles stay where they were. An EPUB comes back as an EPUB and a Word file as a Word file. Books can also come back as a bilingual edition.

How do names stay consistent?

Before translating, we read the whole file and build a glossary of people, places and invented words. Each one gets a single translation that is used in every chapter. You can change any of them before you pay.

What happens to my file?

It is used only to translate it. We never use it to train AI, and it is deleted automatically within 30 days.

Can I publish the translation?

The translated file is yours. Amazon KDP, Kobo and Apple Books each ask whether AI was used, and their rules change, so check each store before you publish. The download page links to what each store asks today.
